Miners' Memorial Day 2017 - Sponsorships

Attention: open in a new window. | Print |

2017 is the 17th anniversary of Windber’s Miners’ Memorial Day celebration. Just imagine, 17 consecutive years of planning and sharing our fore fathers history in coal mining. The coal industry has been the absolute backbone of our area. What a privilege it has been these past years for the Eureka Coal Heritage Foundation and the volunteers to provide the area a complete weekend remembrance; recognizing our fascinating history, while furnishing entertainment for all age groups.

This huge undertaking would not be possible without the fabulous support of our sponsors. Each year’s project begins with the annual fund drive to raise the needed funds to complete the planning and implementation of events.

It is our sincere desire to enhance your weekend experience this 17th anniversary by adding new venues, reaching out to new talents, and encouraging other groups to participate in this community event.

Although we have no local control over the state of the economy, or worldwide events…we can and are willing to showcase not only our event, but also the commitment of our sponsors. Sponsors who are critical to the success or failure of this event, who are community minded, who support local entrepreneurs, and encourage more ‘feel good’ events for those in all walks of life.

Pride in our coal and family heritage continues to be the driving force. Please join us this year over Father’s Day weekend with your sponsorship. All donations are tax deductible.

Respectfully yours,

Matt Scislowicz, President – Eureka Coal Heritage Foundation
